CAB 40th AGM and Conference Overview

butterflyThe Caribbean Association of Banks, Inc.(CAB) formerly the Caribbean Association of Indigenous Banks Inc (CAIB) will host its second conference under the CAB name and brand at the world-class Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa and Beach Resort, Pigeon Island Causeway, Gros Islet, from November 13-16, 2013.

This conference will mark the 40th staging of the Annual General Meeting and Conference, and will be held under the theme: “Redefining Strategy – The Leadership Challenge”.

From this regional platform, during the four-day event members will review the needs of the CAB at the AGM; while the conference will address issues relating to the redefining of strategies in the financial sectors of our member states in light if the current global environment.

The CAB was established in 1974 to support and serve the Caribbean banking and financial services community. The Association currently represents 58 general, service and associate member organisations, and serves as a valuable information resource on the financial landscape through publications and hosting seminars and conferences. It ensures that members are kept abreast of legislative, regulatory and market developments that influence or impact the future of the banking and financial services industry. The Association also provides industry relevant information, educational and training support, and effective advocacy on behalf of members to enhance the efficient and effective operation of their respective institutions. CAB is, therefore, a strong, collective voice for its members.
